The level of government that affects you most directly is municipal. Your city is responsible for so many things in your everyday life like garbage management, sewer, transit and road upkeep. When there is neglect and irresponsible decisions made at the municipal level, you will notice it.

I believe the primary task of an elected official is to act as a trustee for the public purse while ensuring the efficient functioning of our public services. Of course, everyone wants to spend more on services. However, everything must be paid for. And whether it is done out of pocket or through taxes managed by the government it is always you, the taxpayer, that pays.

Fiscal discipline and ensuring money is spent wisely are key to a prosperous and thriving city. We need to ensure that our pathway forward is a vibrant and well-managed city that will attract businesses and investments to continue to be the centerpiece of Saskatchewan.

This will be a crucial election to restore confidence and responsibility in city politics to ensure it is working for the people of Saskatoon. Only after we make sure we have our bases covered can we look at sustainable growth. Because of this, YOUR VOTE ON NOVEMBER 13TH MATTERS.
